Ekaterina Todorova is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She graduated in Russian philology at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She defended her doctoral dissertation Healers of Saints in the Hagiography of the Orthodox World at the Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies Prof. Ivan Duychev at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Her publications are in the field of Old Russian and Old Bulgarian literature. She is the author of more than 10 scientific publications. She is interested in hagiography, history of medicine, as well as non-verbal communication. Ekaterina Todorova is a member of the European Association for Biblical Studies (EABS).
