This Bulgarian-Macedonian project is an interdisciplinary one, aimed at examining processes and phenomena from various fields of humanities - literature, cultural processes, art, history, ethnography, folklore. The aim of the research project is to study the main issues related to education, cultural activities and the expression of personalities in the period 18th - 20th centuries. Of scientific interest is the perception of European practices in the field of curricula and textbooks as an educational tradition; cultural events in the field of literary life: societies, cultural centers, first printing houses and publishers; ethnographic and folklore manifestations, way of life and mentality. A conference on the project was prepared, but due to disagreements on key issues related to the national identity between the Bulgarian and Macedonian sides, it was not held.
