The project aims to continue the fruitful cooperation between the Swedish and Bulgarian medievalists (2015 - 2017). Earlier Bulgarian-Swedish cooperation stressed the need to specify uniform standards for electronic description of medieval Slavic manuscripts and old printed books. The inclusion of standardized descriptions in databases has allowed comparative investigations of sources in a broader context. Working with sources from the Bulgarian and Swedish repositories leads to new knowledge about the history of Slavic literacy and the possibilities of the digital humanities.
Joint project with the Universities of Gothenburg, Stockholm, Uppsala and Umeå, Sweden.
