The project continues the long fruitful tradition of Bulgarian comparative literary studies by exploring foreign literature in Bulgaria, providing an opportunity to summarize the accumulated observations, as well as to highlight current issues related to the translation of works of art and book publishing. A large-scale conference Translation between Conjuncture and Mission: Post-totalitarian Strategies for Presenting Foreign Literature in Bulgaria was organized (October 23 - 25, 2017), as well as a round table on book publishing with the participation of over 40 people (researchers, translators and publishers). Specific work was carried out by the compilers, project managers and the compilation and editing of a collection of conference papers, prepared for printing.
