The project brings together the individual research of scholars from the Department for Old Bulgarian Literature and external participants with the aim of providing a multifaceted presentation of the connections and interactions between Old Bulgarian literature and other medieval literatures and cultures.

The project includes the annual Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Old Bulgarian Literature and Culture in Memory of Prof. Petar Dinekov and a regular seminar series that provides a forum for section members to present their research and for visiting international scholars to deliver invited lectures.
